Axial connector output available today
58 mm industrial size Ethernet encoders from Lika Electronic are now available in both axial and radial connector output configurations. The new axial connector output configuration widens the range of the mechanical and electrical options offered to the booming Ethernet market.
Industry is migrating towards Ethernet
Industrial Ethernet is at the heart of IoT and Industry 4.0 and vital to shape the smart factories. It is becoming the de facto standard in the new industrial revolution.
Deterministic capability and real-time communication even in time-critical applications, high transmission speeds over long distances, flexible network topologies, advanced diagnostics, and complete IT integration are among the major reasons why it is spreading increasingly and rapidly across production environments.
Lika Electronic is a key player in the manufacturing of encoders with Ethernet technologies and offers one of the most comprehensive ranges in the market. It includes EtherNet/ IP, Profinet, EtherCAT, POWERLINK, and MODBUS TCP, these five protocols make up greater than 80 percent of the Industrial Ethernet market share globally.
Wide range
Lika Ethernet encoders are designed in a complete choice of mechanical and electrical models. They can provide robust magnetic sensing technology and high resolution optical technology, singleturn and multiturn configuration, solid and blind hollow shafts. Flange is in the diameter 58 mm: solid shaft version with 6, 8, 9.52, 10, and 12 mm (0.24”, 0.31”, 3/8”, 0.39”, 0.47”) diameter and servo or clamp flange mounting; and blind hollow shaft version with 14 and 15 mm (0.55”, 0.59”) diameter.
They are available in three series:
- EM58 series: low cost 27-bit multiturn encoders equipped with robust magnetic sensing technology for standard industrial applications;
- HS58 series: 18-bit singleturn optical encoders for finest accuracy demands;
- HM58 series: 30-bit high-resolution multiturn encoders, with optical sensing technology, designed for high-end applications.
Protocols at their best
The full compliance of both the hardware and the software to the protocols, as well as, to the profiles, the integration of the complete set of programming functions (position and velocity readout, scaling, preset, code sequence, …), and the advanced diagnostics, even via integrated web server, enable improved performances and allow to achieve robustness, efficiency, versatility, integrable, and productivity that are required by the most advanced industrial systems.
