SGHM is a bearingless magnetic incremental encoder designed with a rugged frame for installation on NEMA 4.5” C-Face flange motors and a variety of rotating shafts in harsh environments and heavy-duty applications.
The SGHM is mounted between the motor and the gearbox and is fitted with a frame sturdy enough to support the weight of the motor. The assembly is engineered to ensure simple yet secure installation. A range of shaft diameters with keyways are available for the rotor to meet specific requirements.
The magnetic sensor and the conversion electronics are fully resin-encapsulated inside the stator, thus providing high IP68/IP69K protection to withstand the most severe conditions including dirt, liquids, oil, and grease. Because there are no bearings, wearing parts, contacts, frictions, mechanical stresses, shocks or vibration impacts, the SGHM offers a virtually wear & maintenance-free operation, ensuring great reliability and longer operating life. The SGHM produces differential quadrature signals with Reference, and is available with common output circuits (Push-Pull, Line Driver, etc). Typical resolution is 4096 PPR. Custom resolutions can be ordered on request.
