EMC61 absolute encoder from Lika Electronic is designed to accommodate up to 20 mm / 0.79" diameter shafts in a standard mechanical housing. Thanks to its rugged construction with high IP67 protection rate (IP65 at shaft inlet) and extended operating temperature range up to -40°C +100°C (-40°F +212°F), it is ideally suited for large diameter shaft applications and even harsh industrial environments such as in motors, construction equipment, wood and metalworking machinery. Furthermore the footprint remains compact (the encoder flange has the 58-mm / 2.28” industrial standard size), thus it fits well also where space is limited.
EMC61 absolute encoder provides an overall multiturn resolution up to 27 bits (8192 cpr x 16384 revolutions). It is currently equipped with SSI interface in the following versions: “LSB Right Aligned” or “Tree format” protocol, Gray or binary code. In the forthcoming months, however, the 20-mm diameter bore mechanical configuration will be extended to the whole range of the EMC series encoders (bus and Ethernet interface encoders included). Zero setting and counting direction input functions along with protection against reverse polarity and short-circuit complete the electrical configuration of the SSI model. Cable output or M12 8-pin and M23 12-pin connector options in both radial and axial versions are available on request.
