ASC85 is the 25 bit single-turn absolute encoder with large through bore in a compact size. It is equipped with a 50 mm / 1.9685” through hollow shaft for direct mounting onto large diameter axles. It provides a space saving clamping system with flexible fixing plate that allows to comfortably and firmly secure the encoder to the drive shaft by means of three eccentric screws. Thus, it ensures optimal and fast installation, particularly in tight mounting spaces thanks to the minimum overall footprint. ASC85 also takes advantage of the rugged and clean design: the enclosure and mechanical components are made of stainless steel and guarantee durability and resistance to corrosion, cleaning agents and chemical contaminants.
The protection rate is IP65 with wide operating temperature range up to -40°C +100°C (-40°F +212°F). Designed to deliver reliable performances in demanding motion control applications, the ASC85 absolute encoder is based on optical scanning technology and features very high single-turn resolution up to 25 bits (33,554,432 cpr) and very high accuracy of ±0.005°. The absolute information is provided through the proven SSI and BiSS C-mode interfaces. Both M12/M23 connector and cable output options are available.
